The new Sony Skype handset and mouse; as dumb as Maxwell Smart’s shoe-phone; both gadgets will prevent you from doing something that you should otherwise be able to do while making a call. The shoe-phone will prevent you from walking while holding a portable phone. The Skype handset will prevent you from using your computer while taking a call at it.

It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to find out that the guy behind Girls Gone Wild is a jerk. It is surprising to find out just how much of a jerk he is: Joe Francis, the founder of the Girls Gone Wild empire, is humiliating me. He has my face pressed against the hood of a car, my arms twisted hard behind my back. He’s pushing himself against me, shouting: “This is what they did to me in Panama City!” It’s after 3 a.m. and we’re in a parking lot on the outskirts of Chicago.
