NBC reporter Olbermann unleashes a concise, elegant, and blisteringly accurate rant against the incompetency displayed by the US government in response to the recent hurricane disaster. Hopefully this will be the first step in the media reclaiming its position of reporting, rather than acting as a PR agency for the White House. (yukihime)

    Did you see the news cast with VP Cheney? As he's talking about how the locals loved him so much, one guy goes by and says, "Go fuck yourself Cheney...Go fuck yourself". So funny on live TV too. What's great in Japan is they don't bleep the fuck part.

    Actually, I missed that, but would like to see it.

    That is, I'm guessing, a retort to the time that Cheney told someone in the press "Go fuck yourself," right? The current crew brings such color and decor to the highest offices of America.

    What shitbags.

Guardian UK Article *vomits* Where is the line drawn between “public figure” and “celebrity”? How can a dead person have an agent, particulary where there are no specific works concerned other than a sense of character? It’s one thing to insist that Duck Soup is a work that should be protected (which any more simply means controlled by whomever has the most buX0rs), but shouldn’t personalities and such pass into the public domain as well? ( boingboing : Bill Gates 0wns Einstein, Groucho , Freud, Asimov, Fuller, et al )
