kill the creeps

Special weapons, waves of creeps, research new weapons technology and use them against an unrelenting horde of creeps, all in one flash game. It’s reminiscent of when you turtle long enough to get a good base built in Warcraft or Starcraft, but without all that whining from your opponents. (thanks, TimK!)

  1. I am really enjoying this one, to the point where I'm actually thinking about donating funds. It's subtly well balanced - haven't been able to crack level 30 yet.

  2. It definitely has some interesting tuning. You can play past the first couple of waves pretty easily; that sets the hook. Then the first time Creeps get past the fortifications, and you realize that you can set up new towers in real time... well, that's where it becomes habitual. I agree; it's well done.

Tony diTerlizzi and classic D&D monsters

The sixth entry of his series on drawings of classic D&D monsters is up. He's one of my favorite fantasy artists. His work tends toward the charming and cozy, rather than others' focus on machismo or melodrama.

Guardian UK Article *vomits* Where is the line drawn between “public figure” and “celebrity”? How can a dead person have an agent, particulary where there are no specific works concerned other than a sense of character? It’s one thing to insist that Duck Soup is a work that should be protected (which any more simply means controlled by whomever has the most buX0rs), but shouldn’t personalities and such pass into the public domain as well?
