How can a dead person have an agent, particulary where there are no specific works concerned other than a sense of character? It’s one thing to insist that Duck Soup is a work that should be protected (which any more simply means controlled by whomever has the most buX0rs), but shouldn’t personalities and such pass into the public domain as well? What is the deal with the Official Heavy Metal website? I knew that Kevin Eastman had bought the rights to the Heavy Metal imprint, but I didn't know that he was using the site to show galleries or drunk incidents with his friends (see inset), pix of his wife (Heavy Metal: FAKK2 and Baberella's Julie Strain: Very Not Safe For Work), poop jokes, and generally turning the effort into a somewhat sad feeling personal site. d00d, there's got to be more than this...
