IGN is running a story on the PSP Launch: Hot or Not? Not what I’d been expecting, to be honest. It’s actually a relief, if Sony isn’t automatically successful in this arena, because it’d be a bleak, competitionless environment for hand-held if Sony managed here what it did in the home console realm. I love my PS2, but I think competition is critical for growth.

It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to find out that the guy behind Girls Gone Wild is a jerk. It is surprising to find out just how much of a jerk he is: Joe Francis, the founder of the Girls Gone Wild empire, is humiliating me. He has my face pressed against the hood of a car, my arms twisted hard behind my back. He’s pushing himself against me, shouting: “This is what they did to me in Panama City!” It’s after 3 a.m. and we’re in a parking lot on the outskirts of Chicago.
