“please let these star wars... stay~”

(writ a week ago; snoozed ’til today) Today has been an unusually StarWars-y day. First there is the stunning new trailer (mentioned previously), and now Bow, Nigger, an article ostensibly about the multiplayer function in Jedi Knight II: Outcast, but more about getting our models of reality to conform to actual reality. There is SW: Revelations, a fan film with stunningly accomplished effects. The Lego Star Wars game (Flash) now has a PC demo available.

It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to find out that the guy behind Girls Gone Wild is a jerk. It is surprising to find out just how much of a jerk he is: Joe Francis, the founder of the Girls Gone Wild empire, is humiliating me. He has my face pressed against the hood of a car, my arms twisted hard behind my back. He’s pushing himself against me, shouting: “This is what they did to me in Panama City!” It’s after 3 a.m. and we’re in a parking lot on the outskirts of Chicago.
