How can a dead person have an agent, particulary where there are no specific works concerned other than a sense of character? It’s one thing to insist that Duck Soup is a work that should be protected (which any more simply means controlled by whomever has the most buX0rs), but shouldn’t personalities and such pass into the public domain as well? Kiriya Kazuaki, the creative genius behind Casshern, is married to one of the few J-Pop stars I like, Utada Hikaru. It seems only reasonable that she'll be doing the movie's theme song Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro, which will be released on April 21, 2004. Who thought nepotism could make me even more hopeful about the movie? She'll be making her English-language debut soon as well.
